Our good friends Emily and Aaron Reeves have gotten their own series on Motor Trend OnDemand, delightfully titled - Live, Love, Wrench.
We first heard of Emily and Aaron through their YouTube channel, Flying Sparks Garage. Hoping to talk shop with them one day, we finally got the opportunity to meet them in person at SEMA 2017 and had an instant connection with them.
The new series expands on what their YouTube channel is all about. You can watch along as Emily and Aaron take on tasks in their garage that don’t always work out as planned but are never run away from. The series really shines when you see them working together to take on projects and solve any obstacles that may come up to get the job done.
We have never claimed to be the best mechanics ourselves but we do not shy away from work and problem solving, which is why we connected with Emily and Aaron so well!
Best of luck with everything guys! We’ll be watching!!!

Live, love, wrench is not just bad but dangerous! The poor quality work and incorrect information I’ve seen on this show could get someone killed! They leave out and never show the fixes and redos of the stuff they screw up, improperly set or assemble. For example: Emily tightening down front wheel bearings as tight as she could make it, they never explained it’s important not to over tighten. Aron was talking about using two secondary brake shoes to increase braking power on the rear brakes! It’s like they don’t even understand how the primary and secondary shoe’s work together to create braking force. This show better get a technical guy to make sure these two aren’t going to encourage a viewer to incorrectly repair his car resulting in someone’s injury or worse.
I ’m 71 and have never commented on any tv show.
I really like this show. Great attitudes, funny. GREAT info, but please be careful. Sparks around gas fumes scared me.
Please keep it up
Wow i just saw your show aaron you are a lucky man to have a wife who loves to get greasy. I saw the episode about the seal on glenns truck, good job, however as a retired mechanic try useing the axle to pop the seals out that long heavy axle gives you great leverage also you didnt replace the ebrake shoes drowned in gear oil or at least clean them. Any way great show .
Emily & Aaron im a new “watcher” of your show. Im a car guy (02 Trans Am Firehawk ) i watch and dvr most if not all of the car shows on Motor Trend and when i first came across your show and watched it i didn’t quite like it because of the corny chenistry between you and Aaron but the more episodes i watched i realized that i started liking you two. I have to honestly say that deep down i admire, and respect that you two care so much for one another and that i wish i was as lucky as Aaron to have found someone not only to love and marry but be best friends and have and share a passion together in life. Ive added your show to my “dvr recorded shows” when im not at home to watch.
I have an original 1965 Corvette Coup (silver/red leather int.) w/ 327, 250hp four speed. I am going to do an engine/trans swap so I can travel with this car and keep the original drivetrain in the shop.
Would your show be interested in doing the swap? Yes, I would pay for the new engine/trans, just have it delivered to you. Could be kinda cool to see a classic receive a transplant and be back better that ever.
I would be willing if you want to talk.
