Dung Beetle Rolls Out

dung beetle azn

After a few years of running a 2332cc, turbocharged, air cooled flat four Ive decided its time to move on. With the kind of beating we put on our cars, it became extremely difficult to maintain the current engine and remain competitive. Being in the middle of the country definitely did not help, with all but a few of the local air cooled shops closing down I had to start looking elsewhere before we were too far behind the curve.

The air cooled community has been amazing to me and extremely supportive. The decision to move on was not an easy one to make. I am unsure of what direction the Dung Beetle will go but the goal is, as always, to go fast as possible on the street while remaining as much a streetcar as possible.

Stay tuned!!!

  • Lots of LS swap options for beetles out there. That will keep you very competitive.

  • It’s a sad day, like when Porsche went away from air cooled. So, the obvious answer is a Porsche motor, right? Has the “family lineage”. Fugi is Ok, but, keep it German.

  • AZN, don’t mothball the dung beetle, find a wrecked porsche, both German.
